Privacy

What we collect

• No account and no personal profile.
• No advertising or analytics cookies.
• Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser only.
• Like every website, our server receives your IP address and the page you ask for. We use them only to run and protect the site.
• Project icons and images load from the servers of Modrinth and CurseForge, which receive your IP address.

Scanner

• Your files stay on your computer. Your browser computes a fingerprint of each file and sends only that.
• Fingerprints go to our server first. When we do not know a file, your browser asks Modrinth directly and our server asks CurseForge. We do not store them.
• When a file is official (on Modrinth or CurseForge) and we have not checked it yet, our server checks it right away: it downloads the file from Modrinth or CurseForge, not from you. For this we keep the fingerprint of that official file, which platform file it is and the time of the request, for 30 days. Not your file name, not your IP address.
• To limit these checks per visitor, our server counts them for one day in memory only, under a code made from the IP address. The code changes every day and is never written down.
