Our checks found malware in the files of the Minecraft projects on this page. We reported each one to Modrinth or CurseForge, and Modgrade blocks its download. This is not necessarily a complete list of what we reported to the two platforms.

The list has 34 projects. The platforms removed 32 of them, and 2 are still online.

1. If you installed one of these files

  1. Remove the file from your mods folder or the plugins folder of your server.
  2. For a mod: run a full scan with your antivirus.
  3. For a plugin: check the plugins folder of your server for files you did not add.
  4. If it steals your Minecraft session or launcher accounts: sign out of all sessions and change your Microsoft account password.
  5. If it steals your Discord tokens: change your Discord password.
  6. If it steals saved passwords: change the passwords saved in your browser and other apps.
  7. Check your other mods and plugins.
