Last Death Location is a Minecraft Java data pack that helps players find where they died without needing a recovery compass, presenting the location through an in-game menu. The location view shows coordinates and dimension, including non-vanilla dimensions, and the pack can place a death marker at the site that disappears when the player walks through it or after dropped items despawn. A history menu records up to 16 recent deaths with the in-game day for each, and players can copy a teleport command to a recorded death point from the menu. Players can open the location, history, settings, or main menu with trigger commands, and settings control automatic death-location display, death markers, and history logging; settings are per-player and can be reset.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Runs 81 function files: 1 every game tick and 1 when the pack loads. Its commands can remove entities, items or data.
Does not change world generation.
Adds 2 tags.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's recipes, loot tables and other game data.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a data pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A data pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

No known modpack uses it.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
