Lithosphere is a datapack that reshapes Overworld generation for more cinematic, polished landscapes. It creates a mix of large and small continents separated by oceans, with occasional islands and archipelagos, and coastlines that range from broad, gradual beaches to steep cliffs near mountains. Vanilla’s ring-shaped mountain formations are replaced by less pointy, potentially taller mountain ranges; rivers are less common, carve valleys through mountainous areas, and are less likely to be interrupted by terrain generation. Terrain has smoother height transitions, while larger temperature and humidity regions produce broader, less condensed biome patterns that remain more varied than vanilla’s Large Biomes setting. Swamps are placed separately from windswept biomes and often occur near rivers in lower areas; windswept biomes are rarer and commonly appear near coasts in lower areas, where their terrain currently forms plateaus. Most world-generation mods, including Biomes O’ Plenty and Nature’s Spirit, are described as compatible, but datapacks that alter Overworld noise settings are incompatible unless adapted to reference Lithosphere’s final density function.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Runs no function files.
Changes world generation: terrain shape and decorations such as trees and ores.
Adds 1 tag.
Replaces 10 of vanilla Minecraft's world generation files.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a data pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A data pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
