Reduces lag by managing distant and unnecessary entities.
Finished or replaced projects get no grade: they will not get fixes or new versions.
No-Lag is a datapack designed to improve a Minecraft world's tick performance by reducing the processing load from entities. Its seven methods include freezing entities far from players, periodically removing unimportant entities, combining experience orbs, disabling farm-animal collisions, making items despawn sooner, limiting how many entities can occupy one block, and removing excess nearby entities of the same type. An in-game GUI provides adjustable settings, actions, and information about the world. The datapack is intended to avoid affecting important entities and to add little performance overhead of its own. Its stated goal is improved TPS rather than a direct increase in FPS.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
Runs 87 function files: 3 when the pack loads. Its commands can place or replace blocks, remove entities, items or data and change game or server settings.
Does not change world generation.
Adds 4 advancements, 8 tags and 1 predicate.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's recipes, loot tables and other game data.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a data pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A data pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Modpacks that include No Lag in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
