Abyssal Descent adds a dimension to explore, reached through a portal in an Illager-guarded Abyssal Dungeon in the Overworld; the dungeon can be located with an explorer map or by searching caves for its concealed entrance. Its strata contain new building materials and resources, including Abyssonite, Soapstone, Depthnite, Mantle Stone, Dullerock and the ores Sparklite, Archynt, Vivianite, Spessartine, Titanium, Fuegite and rare Esperite. These materials support varied uses: flowers provide dyes and potion ingredients, Vivianite makes tools and decorative blocks, Spessartine duplicates most of the mod’s smithing templates, and Esperite can be made into exceptionally powerful gear. The dimension’s structures offer distinct challenges and rewards: surface Ruined Fortresses contain resources, armor trims and music; the rare Shadowing Compound is the only source of the Abyssal Fabricator; and Deep Abyss Strongholds hold valuable loot, Surfacing Altars and the Esperite Upgrade. The Abyssal Fabricator enchants Archynt Crystals and forges three Legendary Swords, each with a unique ability, while a Surfacing Altar lets players teleport back to their current dimension’s surface. Corrupted Barrels in the depths make looting risky: taking too much can alert nearby Depth Corruption, triggering hazards and spawning Totemics, which inflict darkness, or the powerful Depthgroaner, which digs out of its burrow. Exploration also yields four armor trims, Titanium and Esperite upgrade templates, two music discs, and the Abyssal Lighter template needed to craft the tool that activates the portal.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 132 blocks, 70 items, 2 mobs, 5 biomes, 1 dimension, 4 structures, 224 recipes, 19 advancements, 7 loot tables and 27 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Replaces 2 of vanilla Minecraft's loot tables.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
