About
AlkimiCraft is a magic-themed mod built around plants and natural processes that give materials distinctive uses and behaviors. Its plants include desert poplar, which grows in loamy sand and gradually turns nearby sand into loamy sand; jujube trees that grow in stages; and poisonous pencil plants, whose planks can poison bare feet until washed with a wooden barrel. In old-growth birch forests, star laurel trees grow near small white snow lanterns, two forms of the same plant that glow on dim, moonlit nights. Iron root grass draws iron from iron-bearing cobblestone, leaving porous stone behind; when it grows on porous stone with flowing water, iron nuggets can fall off on their own. Porous stone also lets water, powders, and nuggets pass through it, while gold deposits near lava can grow gold dendrites. Copper elsholtzia feeds coppoises, which enrich their shells with copper and then shed them; the shells can be collected and smelted into copper nuggets. A packing table can currently turn 64 sticks into a packed-sticks block, and glowstone dust used with wooden barrels can make snow lanterns glow indefinitely.
