Ambience Blocks is a soundscaping mod for placing music and ambient audio in builds, using sound files supplied by the game or a resource pack. Its Ambience Blocks let creators choose a sound and configure its volume, pitch, fade, and playback behavior; ambient sounds can use delays and randomized volume or pitch, while music can have intros and outros and can fuse across nearby blocks to carry a track between areas. Playback can be shaped by spherical, cylindrical, capsule, or cubic bounds, with distance-based volume scaling, and by conditions such as the player's biome, dimension, position, health, nearby entities, weather, or time of day. Priority settings help prevent overlapping ambience sources from conflicting, while the world-wide compendium plays sounds directly at players and can use conditions to trigger them in specific locations or situations. An invisible block variant can be revealed while held, and the Ambience Block Finder highlights loaded ambience blocks, with color indicating the sound and brightness showing whether it is playing. Most items are intended for creative use, with the Wooden Ambience Block providing a survival-friendly option that can be used like a crafting table.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12 to 1.18.2.
Adds 3 blocks: Ambience Block, Invisible Ambience Block and Wooden Ambience Block; 2 items: Ambience Block Finder and Ambience Compendium; 1 recipe.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12 to 1.18.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12 to 1.18.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
