APEx expands Minecraft’s equipment progression with alternatives that complement, rather than replace, vanilla gear, giving players distinct choices from early game through the end game. It adds five underground-sourced tiers: Bronze, an Iron-level option that eases early resource shortages; Gilded Bronze, a Gold-speed mid-game upgrade that pacifies Piglins when worn as armor; and three end-game paths with different strengths. Cobalt-Steel favors speed and mining efficiency, Infused Gemstone emphasizes enchantability and damage-over-time, while Tungsten-Carbide trades speed for high damage and durability. The end-game tiers also have distinctive combat effects: their tools and weapons slow, wither, or weaken targets, while full armor sets grant protections against selected status effects. APEx adds Battleaxes and all-purpose Paxels combining axe, hoe, pickaxe, and shovel functions, as well as upgrades for bows and crossbows that add damage and special on-hit effects. End-game gear is upgraded from Diamond equipment at a Smithing Table using templates and tier-specific ingredients; a more commonly found Basic Upgrade Template can be crafted into a usable template. Two powerful bosses gate key upgrade materials in survival: the Mysterious Specter drops Stardust for Infused Gemstone, and the Obsidian Golem drops a Molten Core used for Cobalt-Steel and Tungsten-Carbide. The mod also adds ores and materials such as Phosphate, Tin, Cobalt, Ruby, Sapphire, and Tungsten, plus practical recipes including Phosphate-based fertilizer and gunpowder and Tin alternatives for some Iron crafting recipes. Upgrade materials and templates can also appear in generated loot chests, with higher-value templates found in rarer structures such as Ancient Cities, Nether Bastions, End Cities, Strongholds, and Woodland Mansions.

Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Replaces 8 of vanilla Minecraft's enchantments.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
