    About

    ASPHYXIATION : NIGHTMARE is a fear-and-difficulty mod that reimagines the original CANTBREATHE as a faster, more powerful threat, stalking players and appearing every three to six nights by default. When it spots a player or comes within 20 blocks, a cutscene gives them five seconds to flee; if it catches them, it pins and impales them, an instant kill that can be disabled through configuration. Its nightmare storm has a configurable chance to begin when it spawns, turning the surroundings red and filling them with dense fog, blood rain, and red lightning that kills nearby mobs; the creature gains permanent Speed while players suffer permanent Slowness. Spawn timing, stalking and disappearance durations, the storm chance, and several visual and kill effects can be configured.
