Automatically translate incoming and outgoing chat messages in Minecraft.
33.5 of the 61 points that apply = 55 out of 100. The points above are rounded to whole numbers.
Automatic Chat Translator translates incoming messages and your outgoing chat into a selected language, helping you communicate across language barriers on Minecraft servers. It can detect a message’s language, show the original text and detected language when you hover over a translation, and switch your selected language to the detected one when you click the translated text. You can set a preferred language for all messages, and optionally use OpenAI GPT-3.5 or GPT-4 translation to preserve chat formatting; DeepL translation requires a DeepL API key, while OpenAI translation requires a paid OpenAI API key.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
api.openai.comSends text to an AI service and what you type in its screens
Sent to api-free.deepl.com and api.openai.com.
We found this in its code, read without running it.
Its files for older Minecraft versions (1.18.1 to 1.19.2) also send unknown data.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
Can use AI in the game
Can send the text you write to OpenAI (you provide your own key).
We found this in its code, read without running it.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
