Better Crafting Recipes adds ten progression-gated recipes for vanilla items that are rare, loot-locked, or otherwise difficult to obtain, with unlocks earned through actions in the world rather than levels or currency. Its recipes cover a Shulker Box after killing 30 Blazes, Wet Sponge after defeating six Elder Guardians, Saddle and Diamond Horse Armor after taming a horse, a Name Tag after catching 25 fish, a Trident after defeating 40 Drowned, a Totem of Undying after defeating 10 Evokers, spare Elytra after obtaining one, Crying Obsidian after discovering a Bastion Remnant, and a Spore Blossom after discovering a Lush Cave. An in-game Unlock Journal shows each recipe, its requirement, current progress, crafting grid, and a note explaining its gate; players can track recipes with a configurable HUD progress display and see recent unlocks with optional particle and sound celebrations.
