Explore different Strongholds shaped by the biome where they appear.

Biome Strongholds replaces the vanilla Stronghold with eight variants shaped by the biome where each one generates, giving each expedition a distinct layout, palette, enemies, and hazards. Across the variants, players can expect winding corridors, large rooms and libraries, Trial Spawners and Vaults with improved loot, and a single End Portal Room reached from the staircase marked by Eyes of Ender. The portal itself is assembled differently from the familiar frame arrangement: scattered End Portal Frames send particle trails toward a central Bedrock portal, which appears once all twelve frames are filled. The Desert Stronghold uses sandstone corridors, traps, and husks, silverfish, Parched, and Sandstorm Breezes; the Ocean Stronghold combines flooded and dry prismarine rooms with drowned, guardians, and Elder Guardians. Jungle Strongholds mix mossy stone rooms, hidden switches, puzzles, and enemies such as Bogged, blinding skeletons, smoking creepers, and vexes, while Snowy Strongholds feature vast icy spaces, secret doors, and frozen portal frames that require keys found throughout the structure. Swamp Strongholds are muddy, plant-covered mazes with poison-themed enemies and restorative cauldrons, while Forest Strongholds vary their wood and foliage by forest biome and pit explorers against threats including Breezes and Creaking. The copper-and-machinery Savanna Stronghold contains wall and floor traps, puzzles, and hostile mobs including Steaming Ghasts and Copper Golems; Plains Strongholds draw on Trail Ruins, hiding many portal frames in suspicious gravel that can be brushed safely or broken to spring a trap. Exploration also rewards attention to environmental clues: hidden buttons and levers reveal passages, while room challenges such as color, chest, library, and sapling puzzles can uncover treasure. Decorated pots may conceal damaging traps, and some traps embedded in structures can be collected and reused, including noxious gas, flame, steam, and blade devices.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Replaces 2 of vanilla Minecraft's world generation files and 1 advancement.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
Modpacks that include Biome Strongholds in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 1 release needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
