Brewing Tea Tales adds teas, other drinks, and pastries to Minecraft, with hands-on brewing intended to make preparing a drink part of the experience. To brew a hot drink, place a cup, add its tea bag or other ingredient, add milk if needed, and pour boiling water from a kettle; cups can be recovered mid-preparation without losing their ingredients. The kettle holds enough water for five cups and can be heated in a furnace, smoker, or campfire, while iced coffee is made separately in a tall glass with coffee beans, milk, and ice. The mod includes fifteen drinks, among them plain tea, Green Tea, Matcha Tea, Chai Tea, Earl Grey Tea, Chamomile Tea, Black Tea, Cinnamon Tea, Hibiscus Flower Tea, Butterfly Pea Tea, Galaxy Tea, Boba Tea, Matcha Latte, Chai Latte, and Iced Coffee. Drinks have distinct effects: for example, Matcha Tea grants Regeneration, Chai Tea Strength, Earl Grey Tea Night Vision, Boba Tea Absorption II, and Iced Coffee Speed II and Haste; plain tea has no effect. Honey or sugar can sweeten a drink during crafting or after it has been poured: honey increases its nourishment, while sugar raises its effect by one level and halves its duration. Placed cups show the drink inside, with translucent glass mugs, visible ice in iced coffee, and steam from freshly poured hot drinks; the tall glass is reserved for cold drinks and other cups for hot ones. Tea plants can be harvested by right-clicking so they regrow, and a tea stand lets an unemployed villager become a tea master who trades tea-growing supplies, containers, tea bags, and coffee beans. Drink tooltips describe their flavours and effects with durations, Jade can report what a placed cup still needs, and JEI lists the preparation steps for all fifteen drinks along with sweetening information.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: Game coreChanges 1 game code file in this area: the main loop, lighting and other code the whole game uses. and Server and world logicChanges 1 game code file in this area: the world, commands, scoreboards, saved data and game rules..
Adds 1 block, 36 items and 34 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found in the parts we could check
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
2 of its files for recent versions cannot be checked: its author does not let other sites download them from CurseForge.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends, in the 3 of its 5 files we read
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
