About
Crossbows expands Minecraft’s ranged combat with craftable crossbows and specialized bolts that travel faster and farther than ordinary arrows. Crossbow choices include wooden, iron, gold, and diamond models, along with a Large Crossbow that trades a slower reload for the highest velocity and a better chance of a critical hit, a fast-loading Crossbow Repeater, and a Lava Crossbow that creates lava bolts. Bolts range from basic wooden ammunition to iron, gold, diamond, stone, and high-damage obsidian bolts; glass bolts deal heavy damage but shatter on impact, while blaze bolts set mobs alight, lava bolts ignite everything, and TNT bolts explode on contact. The Large Crossbow cannot fire wooden or glass bolts, and the Repeater cannot fire obsidian, iron, or stone bolts.
