About
Custom Ore Veins lets datapacks define additional large ore veins beyond Minecraft’s iron and copper veins; the mod adds no veins by itself. A vein’s configuration can set its dimension, the regions and height ranges where it generates, its shape, and the density rules that determine where ore replaces the base rock. Datapacks can choose the base stone, ore and raw-ore blocks, as well as the chances for ore and raw ore within the vein, allowing examples such as coal in andesite or redstone in smooth basalt. An example datapack provides coal and redstone vein files that can be copied and adapted, and veins in the same pair are kept from generating in the same location.
