About
DerpCats is a Minecraft mod centered on an assortment of unusual cats, each with its own appearance, habitat, or behavior. Its cats include Fart Cat, which produces green sparkles; Exploding Cat, which can rampage in explosions; hostile Mean Cat and moody Grumpy Cat; and a tameable Companion Cat that can be befriended and healed with catnip. Other additions include wall-climbing Spider Cat, mountain-dwelling Space Cat, Robot Cat, Savanna-dwelling Giraffe Cat, hopping Hop Cat, and Crazy Cat, whose minor explosions fling it unpredictably. Old Cat Lady spawns groups of cats and can rarely produce a Giant Cat; Chef Cat drops cooked steak, while Hot Dog Cat can drop regular or mustard hot dogs. Players can craft catnip from wheat, use it to tame or heal Companion Cats, and make catnip blocks; the mod also adds cat meat and Robot Cat circuit boards that attract other Robot Cats. A handheld teleporter provides access to a cat dimension where cats roam by day and Mean Cats invade at night.
