Gathering Chunks is a maintained fork of Chunk By Chunk that turns world generation into a resource-gathering progression, starting players in a single chunk surrounded by otherwise empty space. Players gather resources and find special chests to craft Chunk Spawners, then place and activate them beside empty spaces to unlock new adjacent terrain. Spawner options include standard spawners that use the original world seed, unstable spawners that generate random chunks, and biome-themed varieties for Overworld biomes such as Forest, Desert, Jungle, and Cherry, as well as Nether biomes including Basalt Deltas and Crimson Forest. Progression centers on World Cores, made by fusing World Crystals, and the World Fragments, Shards, and Crystals used in crafting and processing materials. The World Forge turns common materials such as dirt and stone into World Fragments and processes higher-tier materials with fuel, while the World Scanner uses fuel to reveal ore and element concentrations in nearby spawned and unspawned chunks. The World Mender automates expansion by applying stored Chunk Spawners to the nearest empty chunk, and the optional Chunk Engine can increase the chunk limit or keep chunks loaded. Bedrock Chests lie sealed at the bottom of chunks and open once most blocks above them have been cleared, with the opening threshold configurable. The mod also provides a progression helper for players who get stuck, a Chunk Eraser for removing chunks, and administrative tools for managing the world.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
No known modpack uses it.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 2 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 2 points.
