About
Gem Craft adds gem ores and equipment to extend material progression, from sapphire and ruby gear comparable to iron, through emerald and amethyst, to reinforced-amethyst tools and gem armor as its strongest sets. Sapphire, ruby, amethyst, and white gold ores generate in the Overworld, while white gold also appears in the Nether and End; it is more common across End islands than in the other dimensions. The mod includes full emerald and reinforced-amethyst tool sets, gem armor with night vision, fire resistance, Speed II, and Jump Boost II on its individual pieces, and Strength III when the full set is worn. Rings add utility and active abilities: the Void Ring removes cobblestone from the inventory, the Torch Ring places torches, and the Water and Lava Rings place their respective fluids. Other rings summon lightning, apply potion effects while held in the hotbar, grow crops with bone meal in a 3-by-3 area, teleport the player up to 32 blocks, change the time of day, or grant creative flight while in the inventory. The mod also adds four tiers of item-repairing chests.
