Golemania expands Minecraft’s golem roster with allies and hostile encounters, giving the new golems distinct appearances, abilities, and advancement goals. Some golems are built with blocks, including the healing Amethyst Golem, the furnace-lighting Coal Golem, the terrain-safe-exploding Cobblestone Golem, and Golden Golems that defend players when player-built. Other golems are made in the Golem Forge: use a Golem Tablet to select a design, supply the materials shown on the forge’s screen, and let the machine heat and shape them into a golem. Forgeable examples include the Furnace Golem, which can offer Villagers torches and hurl enemies into the air, and the Diamond Golem, which fights with a sword and shield. The Obsidian Golem fires bursting projectiles, can be ridden for transport, and may be knocked down by a well-timed hit that sends its projectile back at it. The TNT Golem attacks with thrown TNT and can be ridden and directed to fire TNT, making it useful for mining or clearing terrain, though fire can set off its fuse. Obsidian and TNT Golems are hostile when forged overheated; exploiting their weakness and using three buckets of water while they are stunned cools them down and restores their senses. A Diamond Golem can be upgraded with a Netherite block into a Netherite Golem, which adds a hammer, a spiked tail, and the ability to patrol using Netherite Patrol Beacons. Patrol Beacons let compatible golems follow a player-set route: place beacons along the path and set their ring counts to determine the visiting order. The golems also appear in the world: Furnace, Amethyst, and Diamond Golems can replace Iron Golems in villages or be summoned by panicking Villagers, while Obsidian Golems join Hard-mode raids and Golden Golems defend Bastion Remnants. The mod adds Redstone and Soul Jack o’ Lanterns, carved melons and Jack o’ Melon variants that can substitute for carved pumpkins when building golems, as well as spawn eggs and a configurable settings file.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.5.
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Mobs and their behaviorChanges 3 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act..
Adds 6 blocks, 18 items, 14 mobs, 2 projectiles, 12 recipes, 17 advancements, 12 loot tables and 41 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.5.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.5.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
