Health Indicator is a client-side mod for viewing real-time health information above players, mobs, animals, and other living entities. Its three display styles are vanilla-style hearts, including half-hearts and golden absorption hearts; health bars that change from green to yellow to red as health falls; and camera-facing numeric readouts that can show exact fractional health. Health indicators can animate smoothly as health changes, while optional floating numbers show damage dealt or healing. For combat, players can lock onto a chosen entity, limit indicators to that focused target, and enable an on-screen tally of kills, deaths, and total damage dealt. For team play, a group manager lets players create groups and assign members, then replace vanilla usernames with custom colored group tags above health indicators. A built-in settings screen offers live previews and controls for display appearance, including bar segments and labels, heart size and spacing, numeric precision, visual effects, and indicator visibility. Optional visual and visibility settings include low-health flashing or critical-health shaking, distance-based scaling, render distance, and hiding indicators for sneaking, invisible, or out-of-sight entities.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: Rendering and graphicsChanges 2 game code files in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen. and Mobs and their behaviorChanges 1 game code file in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act..
Adds 2 key bindings: Cycle Health Display Mode and Open Health Indicator Config.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
