A horror boss stalks you and grows stronger after each defeat.

Hollow Steve is a horror campaign built around a stalker boss that begins as a distant presence, then hunts players through ten increasingly difficult phases; defeating the final phase unlocks a three-stage enraged fight’s conclusion and New Game+. Before the hunt, players may encounter distant appearances, footsteps, whispers, strange sounds, particles, Darkness, and other unsettling anomalies, while sleeping can be interrupted with a random message, Darkness, or a Creeper near the bed. Hollow Steve tracks players by sight and sound, remembers where it last detected them, and can pursue them on land or underwater, leap toward them, or use warned teleportation when a chase stalls or the target is far away. The hunt persists across the Overworld, Nether, End, and compatible modded dimensions without resetting the encounter, and Hollow Steve becomes stronger after each defeat as players advance through the campaign. In later phases, it can open doors, trapdoors, and fence gates, break selected lights and shelter blocks, and damage boats or minecarts, with destructive behavior adjustable in the server configuration. Each victory provides eligible players with personal supplies for the next phase, including potions, golden apples, shields, an enchanted bow, Netherite armor, and an enchanted Netherite sword; the final victory grants a larger package of blocks, apples, totems, and other rewards. The mod supports singleplayer, LAN, dedicated servers, and modpacks, with one shared progression encounter by default and configurable horror effects, sleep traps, hunting behavior, multiplayer scaling, rewards, and world interactions.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Inventory and itemsChanges 1 game code file in this area: items, chests and other containers, crafting and enchanting..
Adds 2 entities and 31 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code, images and text
The author declares AI code and text on Modrinth.
OpenAI gpt-image is named in the images in its files.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
