Hostile Civilization turns survival into a conflict among hostile factions, with large defended bases, raids, robots, and bosses; the player begins with little and must find shelter and food while building strength to survive. The Castaways rule the Overworld and Nether with armies, leaders, patrols, advanced technology, and base raids, while the Masked target villages and villagers and use ambushes, traps, mines, grenades, and other weapons. Burrowers occupy underground tunnels and trenches, mine rare ores, and defend their territory with traps, mazes, and robots; the player faction starts from scratch, and the Masked and Burrowers are generally neutral unless provoked or approached on their turf. Exploring faction strongholds means facing specialized threats: the Masked Drommer steals tools and carries them out of reach, while its larger counterpart kidnaps players and drops them from a height. The mod’s robots and bosses call for different tactics rather than straightforward attacks: Gunneraus is vulnerable while reloading, the Overseer at the seaport can be crushed with dropped cargo containers, and Calderax must be doused with cold water found beneath mounds in its arena. Other encounters include the Burrowers’ jumping Slammer, which protects a temple vault, and Variarch, which manipulates terrain and hurls blocks at its targets. Players can improve themselves and their bases through amulet shops, upgrades, robots, defenses, and grenades, and can form alliances using an Alliance Pact; a support robot called Harko boosts nearby health and can reveal nearby chests. Night raids add pressure to base defense, and configuration options let players adjust mob health and damage, structure spawn frequency, enemy limits in structures, and advanced mob behavior; a lighter difficulty setting disables raids and sleep blocking.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Adds 33 blocks, 169 items, 84 entities, 1 biome, 1 dimension, 49 structures, 34 recipes, 16 advancements and 71 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its images
ChatGPT is named in the images in its files.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
