Infested: Swarms and Spiders expands Minecraft’s spiders and silverfish with new insect and arthropod mobs, pets, minions, equipment, enchantments, and related crafting and brewing. Forest mantises and cherry-grove Orchid Mantises stalk arthropods with an invisible Ambush that stuns prey, while Nether grubs infect Zombified Piglins and mature into Crimson Beetles. Breaking grasses, deepslate ores, End stone, or Netherrack can uncover fleeing Loot Beetles that drop crops and seeds, raw ores and gemstones, a Shulker Shell, or Netherite Scrap, respectively; their spawn rate is configurable. Spider eggs create persistent allies that can inflict brewed potion effects, have dye-customized eyes, and wear Spider Armor, while bee and silverfish eggs call temporary fighting minions; the Brilliant Beetle is a tameable jungle mount that climbs walls and glides down. Craftable armor trims unlock Chitin, Spider, and Bee armor and themed weapons, with effects such as Ambush attacks, night vision and temporary cobweb traps, or improved jumping and slow falling; Chitin also supports Resistance potion brewing. Reusable Swarm Cells for bees, silverfish, and spiders summon minions that stay until defeated or dismissed, and can be set to replenish them gradually while carried. Brewing spider eggs produces elemental spider variants with abilities such as igniting enemies or turning foes against one another, with further brewing offering explosive, landmine-like, or longer-lasting forms. Four enchantments add defensive or kill-triggered minions, cobweb-based slowing strikes, and an experience-cost option for summoning through Swarm Cells. The mod also adds redstone Spinneret and trap blocks that spread temporary cobwebs or release hostile silverfish and spiders.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
