About
KapLib is a modular library for Minecraft mod developers, providing reusable tools for systems ranging from attributes, items, enchantments, and inventory pages to particles, overlays, recipes, loot, mana, and entity spawn tables. Its gameplay-facing utilities include extra attributes such as dodge, magic defence, crit damage, draw speed, and mining fortune, plus temporary attribute modifiers, three additional rarities (legendary, mythic, and divine), and item or set bonuses. Developers can use data-driven requirements to restrict item use based on conditions such as a player's mined blocks, and configurable cooldowns to manage item abilities or other actions. The library also supplies customizable inventory pages and wearable equipment slots, enchantment descriptions and effect hooks, and two-handed items with separate attack cooldowns for each hand. For visual and interface features, KapLib provides configurable screen overlays, animated particle systems with spawners such as lines and rings, formatted text components, and chat components that can display player heads. Additional utilities cover fishing hooks that can work in fluids beyond water, armor and item-upgrade recipe serializers, mana storage and handling, and loot-table extensions that can add items to vanilla or other mods' loot tables.
