ManaMetal is a multiplayer-focused RPG mod that reshapes Minecraft into a broad fantasy adventure, with character growth, production, automation, and exploration woven together. Players choose from more than ten classes with distinct combat roles and skills, gain experience through adventuring, and tailor their characters with RPG equipment, accessories, fashion, and armor-set effects. Combat spans hundreds of new mobs and numerous bosses, while more than 20 dungeon types offer distinct challenges and loot. Exploration adds over 30 biomes, ruins, structures, and dimensions, including places such as Laputa, the Thulium world, the Ancient Tomb, and the sky castle. Gear progression includes forging and enhancing weapons and armor, while new ores and broad-area mining tools support gathering and crafting. Production ranges across ten systems, including farming, fishing, brewing, cooking, beekeeping, textiles, and dragon taming; farming skill unlocks more advanced crops, and fishing includes legendary catches. The mod also adds recipes and equipment for builders and cooks, with furniture, decorative blocks, a chisel tool, new foods, desserts, and kitchenware. NPC villages provide opportunities to talk and trade, and to play card games; a collectible battle-card system and a bingo system that can reward players for finding items from other mods add further activities. Crystal-based systems support resource collection, defenses, and special effects, while mana energy powers devices and can be converted to RF for use with other mods. Survival can be made more demanding by food spoilage, cave collapses, and wounds, and a redesigned HUD presents health, boss bars, and target information. ManaMetal integrates with mods including Thaumcraft, Botania, Tinkers' Construct, Twilight Forest, TofuCraft, Immersive Engineering, SlashBlade, The Aether, ProjectE, Mo'Creatures, and Ex Nihilo, with additions such as compatible materials, equipment, loot, or recipes.

We checked its files without running them.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.

The file checks found code that connects to the internet (see Security). What it sends is not known yet.
The author declares on Modrinth that it sends crash reports or usage data unless you turn this off.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Modpacks that include ManaMetal in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. None is for a recent Minecraft version. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 21 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 6 points.
