MC Calamity is a Minecraft datapack that brings content and gameplay inspired by Terraria: Calamity into the game. It adds hundreds of items, new weapon classes for magic, ranged, rogue, and summoner play, eight armor sets, and more than 40 new mobs, including Wulfrum drones and hovercrafts, colored slimes, and Sunken Sea creatures such as the Giant Clam. Boss encounters include the Eye of Cthulhu, King Slime, Desert Scourge, and Yharon, while world events include Slime Rain and Blood Moon. The optional biome datapack adds the Underground Desert, with antlions, tomb crawlers, cabins, and shrines, and the Sunken Sea, a watery cave biome with corals and its own mobs; the main content also includes structures such as Floating Islands, Living Trees, and Desert Shrines. Custom crafting stations provide their own recipe menus, the Tinker's Workshop lets players attach accessories to gear, and the fishing system adds fish, crates, bait, and fishing-related potions. The combat and exploration additions also include a stealth system with maximum stealth, regeneration, and cost attributes, alongside summon staffs that can dismiss their summons.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 9 structures, 2 enchantments, 7 paintings, 2 recipes, 65 advancements, 990 loot tables and 32 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Replaces 68 of vanilla Minecraft's loot tables, 4 models, 1 mob and entity texture and 1 core shader.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
