MercenaryMod adds a combat and equipment layer to Minecraft, centered on a broad selection of firearms alongside bows, arrows, grenades, and grenade launchers. Its guns range from 9mm pistols and MP5 submachine guns to 5.7×28 weapons, .45 ACP pistols, shotguns, and rifles such as the M4A1, AK-47, AK200, and FN SCAR-H; some rifles can also be fitted with bayonets or grenade launchers. Ammunition and gun behavior vary: weapons use different magazine types, bullets come in three variants, some rounds pierce entities or armor, and headshots and weapon-specific critical hits can increase damage. Grenades deal damage according to which entities are struck by their debris, while fired bullets can travel upward and fall back down, making stray shots a potential danger to nearby allies. The mod also adds armor vests, backpacks, and quivers with storage, letting players carry ammunition, healing herbs, aid spray, or arrows. Equipped subordinate entities can be given guns and supplies, and updated gun AI helps them avoid shooting the player; with healing herbs or aid spray in a vest, they can automatically recover when their health is low. The world gains villages, armed and other villagers, and an aggressive roaming mob, while a merchant offers goods in exchange for emeralds through a trade interface. New materials include Mercenary steel, carbon, redstone, and obsidian, with steel and coal also usable to improve the durability or effectiveness of vanilla tools and swords. Redstone-powered tools, including a drill and chainsaw, help gather large quantities of materials for crafting weapons. Other additions include large doors, a vertical trapdoor, vertical wooden slabs, and briefcases that can be placed as blocks.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.8 to 1.8.8.
Adds 136 blocks, 2 items and 56 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.8 to 1.8.8.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.8 to 1.8.8.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
