A new temperature and food system makes survival more challenging.

Metabolism overhauls Minecraft’s hunger system with linked temperature, food, hydration, warmth, and health mechanics that make survival and exploration more consequential. Environmental conditions such as hot or cold dimensions, snow, water, altitude, darkness, and hot or cold blocks shift your heat, while sprinting can add heat; heat drains hydration when you are hot and food when you are cold, and can make health regeneration harder. Shelters, nearby campfires, and suitable armor provide warmth or temperature resistance, with ordinary campfires helping against cold and soul campfires against heat. The vanilla food bar becomes a warmth bar, which fuels natural health regeneration, while a new HUD tracks food, hydration, metabolization progress and results, and heat-driven resource drain. Eating supplies food and hydration, and metabolization converts these resources into warmth; when the bars are unbalanced, it can instead convert the more plentiful resource into some of the one being drained. Mining, walking, sprinting, swimming, jumping, attacking, taking damage, and breaking blocks build metabolization progress rather than directly causing the usual hunger exhaustion, and certain foods add a metabolism effect that speeds up that progress. Food choices have distinct uses: stews offer food, hydration, and warmth; cooked meats mainly provide food, baked potatoes offer a more balanced mix, and golden foods help restore warmth quickly, while fish, vegetables, fruit, sweets, and some environment-specific foods have different resource profiles. Food tooltips show their food, hydration, and metabolism effects, and the mod changes some eating and stacking behavior, including stacking stews and soups to 16 and cakes to 64. Datapacks can configure environmental effects, resistances, and food data, and can add or change effects and metabolite values; foods from other mods also receive default food, hydration, and warmth values. The mod includes compatibility for Pagan’s Blessing and Create.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
