Minecraft Dungeons Artifacts adds more than 20 artifacts that can drop from different mobs, with rarer versions that are somewhat more powerful than common ones. The artifacts provide varied short-use abilities: Boots of Swiftness and Death Cap Mushroom boost movement, Ghost Cloak grants invisibility, speed, and absorption, while Soul Healer spends experience to heal nearby players and Totem of Regeneration heals its user over time. Other artifacts affect nearby creatures or the surrounding area, including Foreseeing Eye, which reveals nearby entities with glowing, Shock Powder, which stuns and weakens mobs, Fire Totem, which ignites them, and Updraft Tome, which lifts nearby mobs and players without affecting its user. Combat-focused options include Corrupted Beacon's sustained laser, throwable TNT Mines, Harvester's player-safe explosion, Fang Twister's ring of fangs, and the Fishing Rod, described as functioning like a minigun. The Souls and Scythes content adds the Reaper boss and a Soul Sand Plains biome containing the overworld Soul Castle where the boss can be found.
