New biomes, blocks, and ores to explore in the Nether.

Nether Update Expanded extends the Nether with new biomes, materials, foods, equipment, and mechanics while keeping a vanilla-plus style. Its fungal jungles come in purple elder and pink dragon variants, with their own wood types and harvestable elderberries or dragonfruit; the frosted Nether adds icy wastes where placed water freezes, plus frosted forests, sleetberries, fortresses, and fossils. The open crimson valley has no fungi or piglins, but remains hazardous because hoglins, zombified piglins, and aggressive zoglins can appear there. Mining is expanded with netherrack-based ores for coal, iron, lapis lazuli, redstone, emeralds, diamonds, and the new material verbo, alongside blackstone counterparts and plasphite deposits whose zaronite shells can contain materials ranging from basalt and obsidian to nuggets, diamonds, and verbo shards. Verbo can be mined or found in plasphite and crafted into a multipurpose pickaxe that also works as a sword, axe, and shovel; verbo-based blocks slowly nitrogenize, with the process affected by dimension and proximity to sources such as fire, lava, and magma blocks. Players can also make iron, gold, diamond, or netherite arm guards for the offhand. Elderberries from elder fungal jungles provide food and can be made into juice, syrup for buffing foods such as bread and baked potatoes, cookies, or pie; dragonfruit from dragonfruit cacti is nutritious and can help counter burning, levitation, poison, and withering.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 256 blocks, 66 items, 11 mobs, 5 biomes, 1 dimension, 385 recipes, 1 advancement, 5 loot tables and 20 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Replaces 2 of vanilla Minecraft's loot tables.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
