A giant spider stalks you across the world and charges.

ArachnoMod, also known as the Netherite Octoarachnopod, adds a single giant spider that patrols the world, spots players, pauses to stare, and then charges; its eight legs move with procedural inverse-kinematics animation. The spider grows to tower over trees at a distance and shrinks as it closes in, and it can pursue players through doorways and tight holes, across deep water, and between dimensions. Its four variants offer distinct threats: the armored Netherite spider is a durable juggernaut; the camouflaged spider blends its legs into the ground and matches its footsteps to the surface; the Poison variant rears up and lunges with a venomous bite; and the silent, player-sized Hunter moves only when unobserved and blinds nearby players. Feeding the Netherite spider an ingot enrages it into a faster boss with a red health bar, more health, and a stronger bite; defeating it guarantees a Netherite block. Players can tame and ride a spider using a Creative-only Spider Tamer, or distract it with a Creative-only laser pointer; a Warding Idol can make an area around a base safe from ordinary spiders, though the enraged boss ignores and destroys idols. The hunt is configurable, including its timing, dimensions, behavior, and size, with settings editable through a config file or in-game menu and commands; seven advancements track progress through the hunt.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Not checked yet
We have not checked its files for recent Minecraft versions yet.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We have not read its code yet
What it sends is not known yet.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images, sounds and code history yet.
AI in the game: not checked yet
We have not read its code for AI yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
