Fly a vintage biplane with responsive controls and smooth flight.

Peter Wolf’s Planes adds steerable aircraft to Minecraft, centered on a vintage-style biplane with speed-dependent controls, lift and stall behavior, and gliding physics that let climbs trade speed for altitude and dives build speed. The aircraft range also includes a large biplane, a twin-engine biplane, the Red Baron’s triplane, a water plane, a fast-fighter monoplane, and a helicopter. A cockpit HUD for the biplane displays speed, altitude, vertical speed, throttle, and brake status; combat mode adds twin machine guns and TNT bombs, while showing airframe damage that can destroy the plane and eject its passengers. The helicopter takes off and lands vertically, can hover, and uses throttle to climb or descend; pilots can switch between altitude-hold and more realistic flight behavior, where tilting and forward movement can cause the helicopter to sink. A paraglider backpack provides controlled descent with steering, flares, dives, and spiral turns, and can use rising air over slopes to gain lift. Players can recruit villager pilots as AI wingmen flying in formation, push an empty plane along the ground, and find loot-bearing runway structures in world generation.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: Rendering and graphicsChanges 3 game code files in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen. and PlayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls..
Adds 10 items, 1 mob, 5 vehicles, 2 other entities, 1 structure, 9 recipes, 1 loot table, 2 sounds and 3 key bindings.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
