    About

    RF Windmills adds wind-powered generators that produce Redstone Flux (RF) for use as an energy source. Each turbine uses an attachable rotor, with Iron, Electrum or Gold, Signalum or Nether, and Enderium or Diamond options; higher-efficiency rotors improve output, and rotors can be swapped without breaking the turbine. Generation depends on altitude, open airflow around the rotor, weather, and the efficiencies of the turbine and rotor: turbines do not generate at or below 60 blocks and reach their altitude maximum at 100 blocks or higher, while nearby obstructions reduce output and harsh weather increases it. Players can also turn a rotor by holding right-click to generate power at a reduced rate, with this hand-powered mode unaffected by altitude, airflow, or weather. Turbine and rotor textures reflect their crafting materials by default, and this appearance behavior can be disabled in the configuration. Thermal Expansion is optional: the mod uses its materials for recipes when available and provides alternate recipes when it is not installed.
