About
SimpleAuth is a server-side authentication mod, now deprecated in favor of EasyAuth, that lets Fabric or Forge servers require players to register or log in without relying on a whitelist. Until authenticated, players can be prevented from moving, interacting with blocks, or moving and dropping inventory items, helping protect a server from unauthorized access. Players can register and log in with commands, manage or change their accounts, and administrators can manage accounts, reload configuration, set a shared server password, and choose a temporary login spawn. Optional premium-account auto-login lets players authenticated through Mojang skip the login process, while other players still register or log in; the mod also supports session-based auto-login when a returning player's IP matches and the session has not expired. A configurable temporary spawn can hide a player's original coordinates until login, reducing the risk of exposing a base location.
