Slenderman: Ascend turns collecting eight hidden Pages in Minecraft’s forests into a survival encounter: Pages are found in Slenderman structures in dark oak forests, forests, and taiga, and can also rarely drop from dying mobs. Collecting a Page plays eerie music, displays a Page Counter, and inflicts Slender Sickness, which allows Slenderman to appear; the Pages can be collected by interacting with them without sneaking. Slenderman begins stalking the player after the first Page, teleporting and keeping his distance at first, then growing more aggressive and drawing closer as more Pages are collected. Looking at him builds dangerous static that can eventually kill the player, while his tentacles warn when the effect intensifies; getting too close triggers a lethal jumpscare, and his nearby arrival can also be signaled by sound. Players who die from Slender Sickness or are killed by Slenderman can become Proxies, fast and aggressive possessed humans that move erratically when damaged before attacking again; Proxies can also rarely spawn on their own. Collecting all eight Pages resets the counter, makes Slenderman disappear until another Page is collected, and grants 1,000 XP to players within 32 blocks.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 8 blocks, 4 items, 2 mobs, 2 other entities, 10 structures, 1 advancement and 12 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
