Mobs dig, dodge, and find new ways to reach and attack you.

This author published several projects at once on Modrinth: up to 7 projects published within 2 weeks. 6 of the author's 16 projects have only one release and no source code link. A series of small add-ons is often published this way. It does not change the grade.
Smart Mobs makes familiar hostile mobs more challenging by giving them new ways to reach, pursue, and attack players, with each feature independently configurable. Creepers blast through obstacles they cannot cross and leave napalm fire when they explode, while some spawn charged; skeletons lead their shots and fire twice as fast as in vanilla. Zombies dig through blocks and build cobblestone pillars to reach targets, and a player killed by one has a chance to return as a zombie bearing that player's name. Spiders shoot cobwebs at players from up to eight blocks away, and endermen can teleport players and villagers to nearby positions. Hostile mobs can dodge arrows and melee attacks, track targets through walls, swim after players, and attack villagers; groups also spread out to pursue nearby targets instead of focusing on one player. An optional Chaos mode makes every mob attack whichever target is closest, including players, other mobs, and animals. Configuration changes can be applied immediately with a reload command, without restarting the world.

Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
