Special Armor & Tool Sets adds seven themed armor and tool sets to Minecraft: bone, emerald, ender, obsidian, fire, blue iron, and silver. Their materials include bones, emeralds, ender pearls, obsidian ingots smelted from obsidian blocks, blaze rods, silver ingots, and blue iron, an iron-and-lapis-lazuli alloy made on a smithing table. The mod also adds silver ore to smelt into ingots, and lets players recover emeralds, ender pearls, and obsidian from armor and tools using emerald shards, ender fragments, and obsidian shards, respectively. The armor sets have different defensive strengths: bone offers modest protection, while obsidian and ender armor provide the highest listed armor and toughness, with knock-back resistance as well. Matching horse armor is available in bone, emerald, ender, fire, blue iron, obsidian, and silver; the gallery also lists netherite horse armor as an upgrade from diamond horse armor.
