Sulfur cubes absorb blocks and gain new powers.

SulfurCubes+ extends sulfur cubes with behaviors that let them absorb blocks and bring those blocks’ effects into the world. A cube that absorbs a light-emitting block produces real light; supported blocks include glowstone, sea lanterns, crying obsidian, magma blocks, shroomlights, jack o’lanterns, and all three froglight colors. Cactus cubes hurt entities that touch them and attackers that hit them, while pushing away other sulfur cubes that touch them or a cactus block. Cubes can absorb crafting tables, stonecutters, grindstones, smithing tables, looms, cartography tables, and anvils; right-clicking a workstation cube opens its corresponding interface, and shift-right-clicking picks it up. A cube that absorbs a redstone block acts as a live signal source, powering adjacent redstone components in all six directions. For a ghast-themed transformation, a cube can absorb a dried ghast and be submerged in water; once fully hydrated, it wraps a newly spawned baby Happy Ghast in a translucent soul shell that grows with the ghast, and shears can free it at any time. The ghast soul cycle can yield a tier-four-sized sulfur cube, but a cube that has completed the cycle cannot be rehydrated. Other blocks with added functionality include command blocks, heavy cores, netherite blocks, powdered snow, sponges and wet sponges, end rods, and every copper bulb variant. TNT cubes use the vanilla sulfur-cube implementation, with the added behavior that any direct hit triggers the fuse and larger cubes cause bigger explosions.

Changes the game's code in 3 areas: Rendering and graphicsChanges 3 game code files in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen., Mobs and their behaviorChanges 2 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act. and Inventory and itemsChanges 1 game code file in this area: items, chests and other containers, crafting and enchanting..
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code
The author declares AI code on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
Modpacks that include SulfurCubes+ in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 2 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
