About
Survival Inc. adds survival pressures that make Minecraft more challenging, including body heat, hydration, sanity and wetness, with each mechanic available as an independent module. Body heat responds to biome temperature, seasonal shifts and nearby heat sources such as lava, magma, fire, furnaces and jack-o'-lanterns, while hydration falls over time and drains faster from excess heat, the Nether or lava; players can replenish it by drinking from natural water or carrying water canteens. Wetness rises in rain and water, then gradually dries; reusable towels help remove it, and can be dried on furnaces when soaked. Sanity is affected by behavior and surroundings: sleeping restores it, while going without sleep, being in darkness or becoming very wet can reduce it. Four roughly 14-day seasons alter biome temperatures, changing conditions such as snowfall and causing snow and ice to melt in spring and summer. Ghost mode changes what happens after death: instead of respawning normally, the player becomes a ghost that can accumulate energy at night and use it to interact with the world, including switching levers or opening doors.
