Adds specialized weapons for skill-based combat and parrying.

Taoism is a combat-focused mod that aims to make weapon fights skill-based, adding 36 weapons inspired by traditions around the world, each with distinct attacks, perks and fighting styles rather than durability loss. Weapons have no durability, can be wielded in either hand, and use true area attacks that apply the strike’s enchantments, potions and compatible mod effects to nearby targets. Combat revolves around posture and chi: blocking and taking hits affect posture, and a fighter whose posture reaches zero is staggered, left unable to move and more vulnerable to damage. Attacking with Taoism weapons builds chi, which gradually fades and unlocks movement options such as dodging, double jumps, aerial kicks and wall running at higher levels. The weapon roster ranges from the combo-focused Chinese jian and wide-sweeping Filipino kampilan to defensive tonfa, armor-crushing axes, long-reach spears, whips and chain weapons. Other weapons bring more specialized tactics: the monk spade can terraform and exorcise undead, the lance charges while mounted, and the executioner’s sword can decapitate an opponent after a race to reveal their crimes. Mobs can also wield the weapons and use their effects, turning ordinary encounters into fights against armed opponents.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
Adds 1 block, 38 items and 36 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
