    About

    TFM's Mining Expansion extends cave mining and exploration with new resources, equipment, creatures, structures, and bosses. Its nine drills mine a 3×3 area when you break the center block, and most also provide a distinct right-click bonus, such as Haste, Regeneration, or Speed; they are assembled from a Drill Base and a head made with the chosen material. Mining and exploration uncover Ruby, Amethyst, Sapphire, Topaz, Jade, and rare Opal, while Kyanite appears in the Nether and Void Jewels in the End; these materials support crafting armor, weapons, and tools. The mod also adds throwable dynamite, gem daggers and battle axes, Goblin Silver weapons and rings, and new armor sets. World encounters include friendly Dwarves in mountainous regions, weapon-carrying Goblins in swamps and Dripstone Caves, Trolls in dark areas, Cave Mushrooms in Lush Caves and Dark Forests, and Gnomes that may steal items from your inventory. Players can explore a loot-bearing Mining Camp and the Forsaken Forge, an underground dungeon at y=16 that contains loot and lore. Two bosses add distinct hunts and crafting rewards: the Basilisk guards a chamber in flat, grassy areas and drops scales for a blade and pickaxe, while the Spider Queen hides in a Dark Forest and drops silk for a bow.
