The Armour Update expands Minecraft’s armor choices with detailed sets spanning early, mid, and late-game progression. Early-game options include wooden, clay, brick, and copper armor, while amethyst and emerald sets provide additional mid-game choices; the mod also adds a chainmail recipe. Other distinctive armor includes yellow rabbit armor with a spring-trap animation when worn in water, turtle-shell armor that helps you swim faster, and TNT armor that can blow you up. For a challenging late-game path, the rare Syntaxium ore drops nuggets that can be combined with netherite armor in a smithing table to make Syntaxium armor, alongside new tools and other items. Syntaxium progression continues through tiers of totems that grant extra health, with each level requiring two of the previous one, as well as a second, difficult-to-obtain armor set and sword. A full Syntaxium armor set lets you travel in and out of the Void Lands, while the sword can slam airborne targets to the ground and the other tools have their own abilities.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 10 blocks, 214 items, 4 mobs, 1 biome, 1 dimension, 8 enchantments, 382 recipes, 88 advancements, 3 loot tables, 8 sounds and 17 key bindings.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Replaces 1 of vanilla Minecraft's loot tables.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Modpacks that include The Armour Update in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 3 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 5 points.
