Tom’s Mod is a technical Minecraft mod built around machine processing and a technology progression from bronze and steel production into electrical systems. Its research system lets players investigate technologies at a Research Table by submitting materials and scanning specified blocks, with completed knowledge saved to the player and transferable through linked notebooks. Production chains include a Coke Oven that turns coal into Coal Coke and Creosote Oil, a Blast Furnace for refining iron into steel, and multiblock machines such as the Refinery, Electrolyzer, Centrifuge, and Plastic Processor. Circuit-making develops from drawing and assembling circuits to using a UV Lightbox or Laser Engraver, while machines such as the Mixer, Soldering Station, and Laser Engraver support the wider crafting process. The mod has its own tiered power system with LV, MV, and HV energy, separate cable tiers, transformers, and laser energy transmission, alongside generators, boilers, batteries, and power-sharing between adjacent machines. Its digital storage network provides storage terminals, configurable item channels, and autocrafting, with cables and routers for connecting network components. World resources include ores such as Bauxite, Copper, Chrome, Monazit, Platinum, Titanium, Uranium, and Zinc, as well as oil lakes and rubber trees that provide materials for further processing. Other additions include a force-field-style base defense system, a configurable chest with lockable slots, and ComputerCraft-linked devices such as peripherals, magnetic-card equipment, and a tablet system. The project is discontinued and is no longer being developed or updated.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
Adds 102 blocks, 733 items, 1 entity, 397 recipes and 2 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
