Useful DNS adds utility items, recipes, tools, foods, storage items, and a custom dimension, originally to complement the DNS Techpack; its contents can vary between pack versions as additions become unnecessary or are replaced by features in other mods. It supplies crafting recipes for vanilla items that otherwise lack them, including ender pearls, obsidian, and nether stars. Its practical tools include a portable cobblestone generator that puts a stack of cobblestone in the player's inventory, a Swiss Army Knife that works on sand, wood, and stone and can mine vanilla ores for bonus drops, and a Steel Hammer that improves drops from vanilla ores. Other additions include steel ingots and rods, inexpensive mud pies, food made from rotten flesh, a flashlight that grants night vision while carried, and money items for storing EMC with ProjectE. DecaNySodium gems and blocks form portals to Mad's World, a resource-rich dimension reached by lighting the portal with the Madcock travel staff; compressed coal can also become diamond blocks when compressed with an explosion. Some versions add Liquid RF, which stores RF for later use in the DNS Techpack, while other utility items include a time-changing watch and a dragon spawner for the End.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.6.4 to 1.16.5.
Adds 36 blocks, 86 items, 1 dimension, 82 recipes, 7 advancements, 5 sounds and 1 key binding.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.6.4 to 1.16.5.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.6.4 to 1.16.5.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
