VintageCraft is a terrain-focused mod intended to revive exploration through more varied landscapes, rare resources, and a less survivalistic take on a full conversion. Its biomes emerge from combinations of forest, rainfall, temperature, and fertility, producing fluid transitions, while expansive landmasses currently replace oceans. The world features dynamically varied trees, deeper strata of different rock layers, abundant tall-grass variations, and larger, more natural-looking overhangs. Underground deposits include resources such as quartz, rocksalt, sulfur, diamond, and emerald, with many ores also occurring deep below the surface. Smelting has a somewhat more realistic system, including steel production with coke ovens; the mod also adds steel tools and chromium and chromite ore. For minecart travel, wooden rails offer a cheaper alternative to iron-covered rails but slow carts to 60% of their normal speed, and coal-powered carts have a fuel-management interface.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.8.
Adds 34 blocks, 229 items and 20 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Replaces 91 of vanilla Minecraft's block textures, 75 item textures, 32 interface textures, 32 models, 21 mob and entity textures and 9 sky, weather and particle textures.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.8.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.8.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
