War of The Worlds Mod turns Minecraft survival into a Martian invasion, with attacks from land, sky and water that threaten players and their bases. A research system, accessed through a Diary with technology levels, lets players study familiar blocks and items alongside invasion-related additions, then use their discoveries to craft weapons and gear from human and Martian history. To endure the assault, players can find underground blocks that provide ways to obtain wood, food and other resources normally associated with the surface, and craft weapons and armor to fight back. Martian Red Weed spreads through blocks and makes affected areas hazardous, so containing it is part of protecting the world. Players can travel to Mars, where they can explore cold desert and Red Weed biomes, encounter alien wildlife, and discover Martian landing pods and other structures. Other places to explore include abandoned human homes with loot, Ashy Forests left by the invasion, and Forever Autumn Forests described as a safer refuge. The mod supports multiplayer, including play with friends and access to a public server from its title screen, and offers configuration settings to reduce the difficulty.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.15.2 to 1.19.2.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 52 blocks, 123 items, 8 mobs, 11 biomes, 1 dimension, 12 structures, 100 recipes, 39 advancements, 11 loot tables and 32 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Replaces 1 of vanilla Minecraft's loot tables.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.15.2 to 1.19.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.15.2 to 1.19.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
