A PvP pack for servers.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 13 graded mods, 5 are graded A or B, 3 C and 5 D to F. Its last update came out 4.3 years ago, for Minecraft 1.8.9. See the mods
PVPack is a PvP-focused modpack intended to improve play on servers across a range of computers, from high-end gaming PCs to lower-powered laptops. It bundles performance features, including an FPS boost and reduced resource use while the game is tabbed out for extended periods, alongside PvP-oriented textures. It also provides a custom GUI scale and FOV settings, in-game account switching, and a fix intended to prevent “Invalid Session” errors.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.8.9 · Forge, 28 Jun 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 30 Sep 2021 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 13 of its 14 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
2 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 9 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI tool in the 4 mods we checked, and no AI content is declared for them on Modrinth.
5 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
