Fresh textures, clearer menus, and small story details for your world.
Finished or replaced projects get no grade: they will not get fixes or new versions.
DefaultEx is a vanilla-edit resource pack that refreshes Minecraft’s textures and models while aiming to preserve the game’s familiar visual style; its changes are intended to improve visuals and usability or add touches of lore. It reworks blocks and items across the game, including doors, mangrove blocks, wool, deepslate tiles, boats, minecarts, netherite armor, emeralds, and music discs, with pixel-consistent variants and model updates. Entity changes include a moss-textured creeper, a redesigned baby axolotl and vex, biome-specific villager and zombie-villager appearances, and additional squid variants. The pack also adjusts interface elements such as the furnace screen, recipe-book button, status-effect box, and toasts, and includes optional Dark UI and fast-leaves settings through Respackopts. Some extra visual effects and entity variants use OptiFine, which is recommended but not required; the pack also includes a cloud-fog fix shader.

We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a resource pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A resource pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
