About
ejbs Ancient World is a Minecraft resource pack that gives the game an ancient Mediterranean look, drawing mainly on Rome and Greece with some Egyptian influence. Its architecture and materials include red fluted marble columns, architraves and friezes, travertine-like sandstone, marble tile, granite and concrete blocks, and arranged stone patterns. The pack adds period-inspired objects and equipment such as oil lamps, scrolls, a Gladius, Spartan armor, Roman Lorica Segmentata and Praetorian armor; it also depicts a Minotaur and reimagines the Wither as a Hydra. The visual changes extend across terrain, blocks, items, interfaces, tools, weapons, armor and the font, with animated textures and a mostly 16-by-16-pixel block resolution. Randomized mob textures provide hundreds of alternatives, including historical or mythological reinterpretations such as Pig Zombies as Spartan warriors and the Wither as a Hydra. The pack also includes visual variations for biomes, with gallery scenes depicting forests, deserts, savannas, snowy areas, villages and caves.
